Phoenix Trading started back in 1994 when three South London based mothers, Robin, Susie and Vanessa, put a tenner (£10) each into a kitty to buy wholesale greeting cards from a local publisher. The three partners started selling the cards direct to friends and family and at fundraising events for schools and charities. However, these three entrepreneur women earned enough to print their first 13 designs as publishers in their own right.
The good acceptation of the cards made Phoenix Trading a bigger company in just a few years. The founders started finding agents, artists and suppliers. Some time later they had to move to a 4,000 square foot of fabulous space with 304 product lines, 11 employees and a moveable feast of packers and artists.
The beautiful and original products of Phoenix Trading include Greeting Cards for all occasions, Postcards, Gift Wrap / Tags, Posters, Accessories, Bestsellers, Card Organizers, Gift Bags and Boxes, likewise Bookmarks and a Christmas Collection. These products are available through an international team of Independent Phoenix Traders who run their own business through a beautiful and exclusive line of products.
The company has a strong commitment with the quality and style, the international expansion, but also with the environment protection, Phoenix Trading cards are fully recyclable because they haven't been produced using environmentally harmful chemicals or adhesives.
Phoenix Trading started with £ 30 and a basket, nowadays, the company has a 27,000 square foot of dedicated office and warehousing in Wandsworth, and has sold about 40 million cards since its creation.
